ArcBody by ArcComplete

Your whole body routine, in one app.

One daily system instead of four apps that never meet.

You're on the list.

In development for Android and free at launch. Tick the box to test early builds.

Concept interface. These screens are drawn until the real ones are ready.

2,999
foods on the phone, so search works with no signal
18
restaurant chains, checked against their own published figures
108
exercises, each with instructions and safety notes
0
ads, even in the free app. No account to create, either.

Counted in the current test build. The food numbers grow with each release.

Today

One screen for the whole day.

Calories and macros, today's workout, the supplements still due and your weigh-in. What is left comes first.

  • A calorie ring with Add food, Quick add and Scan one tap away.
  • Tasks sort themselves: still to do at the top, done below.
  • Protein, carbs and fat under the ring, and one line on how the week is going.
  • Steps from Health Connect, if you switch them on.

Nutrition

Log a meal in seconds.

Search the foods built into the app, scan a barcode, read a nutrition label or pick a dish from a restaurant menu.

  • Barcode and label scanning on the phone, with a review before anything is logged.
  • Restaurant menus checked against each chain's own published figures.
  • Saved meals, quick add, and Copy yesterday for the days that repeat.
  • Log by serving or by gram, and edit any entry afterwards.

Training

A workout player for the gym floor.

Start a ready-made plan or build your own. During the workout, every set shows what you lifted last time.

  • Six ready-made plans, from full body to push, pull and legs.
  • Weight and reps by stepper or keyboard, and a rest timer that buzzes.
  • Record badges as they happen, and a summary when you finish.
  • Every exercise has instructions, common mistakes and safety notes.

Supplements

Your schedule, remembered.

Add your own list and the schedule you decided on. ArcBody reminds you and never recommends a dose.

  • Common supplements ready to pick, or add your own.
  • Six times of day, from morning to before bed.
  • A reminder for each, marked as taken from the notification.
  • The last seven days at a glance.

Progress

Trends, not verdicts.

Daily weigh-ins become a smoothed trend line. A heavier morning is one faint dot, and the line barely moves.

  • The weight trend over 30 days, 90 days or all time, with the weekly change.
  • Measurements for waist, chest, arms, hips, thighs and body fat.
  • Front, side and back photos compared side by side, kept on the phone.
  • Strength records, and how many days you logged this week.

Adaptive targets

Targets that learn from your scale.

After eight logged days and five weigh-ins, ArcBody estimates what you really burn and proposes new targets.

  • A starting point

Your first targets come from your profile and activity level. From then on, your own logs and weigh-ins steer them.

  • You decide

Every change is a proposal. Tap Apply new targets or Keep current, and ArcBody waits a week before it asks again.

  • Small steps

One change moves your target by 300 kcal at most, and a cut only goes ahead when your weigh-ins back it up.

  • Safe limits

Targets never go below a safe floor. If your weight moves unusually fast, ArcBody shows no numbers and suggests a doctor or dietitian.

Switching

Bring your history with you.

Import your food and workout history at launch, and leave with all of it whenever you want.

  • From MyFitnessPal, Hevy or Strong

Import the export file each of these apps can make, so past meals and lifts arrive with you.

  • From Health Connect

Past weigh-ins from your scale app come in through Health Connect, and your steps can show on Today.

  • Nothing to sign up for

With no account, switching is installing the app and importing a file.

  • Out again, any time

A full backup file, or your food diary as a CSV that opens in any spreadsheet.

MyFitnessPal, Hevy and Strong are trademarks of their owners. ArcBody is not affiliated with them.

Privacy

Your data stays on your phone.

There is no ArcBody account. Your diary, workouts, weight and photos are stored on the phone.

  • No ads

None in the free app, and none planned. Nothing you log is used to sell you anything.

  • Never sold

What you log is never sold or shared with advertisers. It belongs to you.

  • No tracking code

The app contains no analytics or advertising code at all.

  • Photos stay put

Progress photos live in the app's private storage and are never uploaded.

Questions

Before you switch.

What the first release does, and what it doesn't.

Is ArcBody free?

Yes, at launch. Everything in the first release is free, with no ads. A paid plan comes later for extra features, and the free app stays useful on its own.

Are there ads?

No. There are none in the free app and none planned. ArcBody contains no advertising or analytics code.

Do I need an account?

No. ArcBody keeps everything on your phone. There is nothing to sign up for and no password to forget.

Link to this answer
Does it work offline?

Yes. The built-in foods and restaurant menus, your diary, workouts, supplements and progress all work with no signal. Looking up a barcode the phone has never seen needs a connection.

Where does the food data come from?

Everyday foods come from USDA FoodData Central, with more written by hand. Restaurant menus are checked against each chain's own figures. Packaged products are looked up on Open Food Facts when you scan them, and you can report any number that looks wrong.

Can I bring my data from another app?

Yes. At launch ArcBody imports the export files from MyFitnessPal, Hevy and Strong, and reads past weigh-ins from Health Connect. You can export everything again at any time.

Does it work with Health Connect?

Yes. With your permission it reads your steps and your weight history. Steps show on Today and are never added to your calorie budget.

Metric or imperial?

Both. ArcBody picks from your phone's region and you can switch at any time. Food amounts are always in grams.

Link to this answer
Is it medical advice?

No. ArcBody is a tracking tool. Calorie targets are estimates, it never recommends a supplement dose, and it suggests a doctor or dietitian when your weight changes unusually fast.

What about iPhone?

Not in the first release. Android comes first, and other platforms will be decided by demand after launch.
